João Ferreira steps onto the podium at Baja Aragon

João Ferreira and Filipe Palmeiro stepped onto the podium in the Spanish round of the World Cup for Cross-Country Bajas, the Baja Aragon. Although they couldn't establish their pace in the first half of the race held in the Teruel region, the Portuguese duo managed to maintain a consistent rhythm that led to another positive result behind the wheel of the Mini JCW T1+ from X-Raid.

After the race, João Ferreira expressed acceptance with the result. “The result was better than the performance, but that’s how racing goes. In the first half of the race, we couldn’t find our rhythm, and in the last sector, we managed to recover a lot of time in the front of the race, but it wasn’t enough to do better than third place, which is still very positive for the standings in the World Cup for Cross-Country. Now we will focus on the Hungarian Baja, which counts for the European Cup, a competition that we lead and where we really want to succeed,” assured the young driver, who is co-driven by Filipe Palmeiro.

The Hungarian Baja takes place from August 8 to 10 in the region of Varpalota, south of Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
