Nowadays, he is one of the most experienced Portuguese co-drivers, with an extensive career in rally-raid competitions. The Portalegre native has participated in the Dakar seventeen times (finishing in the Top-15 on seven occasions) and has also competed in four Sertões Rallies, achieving two podium finishes. Additionally, Filipe Palmeiro's record includes a victory in the Rally of Tunisia, a national cross-country championship title in the T2 category, and he was crowned vice-world champion in cross-country in 2009.
