João Ferreira, originally from Leiria, Portugal, showed a passion for motorsport from an early age. A student of Mechanical Engineering at the Higher Institute of Engineering in Coimbra, Ferreira is a talented driver and a young man full of dreams and goals yet to be achieved.

Alongside his sports career, he has a passion for sports training, being a regular at the gym and never passing up an intense bike ride with his father and friends.

Career

The pilot's career began in karting, where he excelled in the National, European, and World Championships. Connected to off-road racing through family roots, he transitioned to this variant, standing out in the T2 category. Later, driving a Mini John Cooper Works Rally, he became the National Champion in 2022, also winning the European Baja Cup and the Baja Portalegre 500. In the 2023 Dakar, behind the wheel of a Yamaha YXZ1000R prototype from X-Raid, he claimed two stage victories. In the World Rally Raid Championship, he reached the podium on the Yamaha and won the Rallye du Maroc driving a Can-Am in the T4 category.

In 2024, he returned to the Dakar, this time driving a Can-Am Maverick in the SSV category, winning stages and finishing in 5th place in the category. Back in the Mini, he reached the podium at the Baja Ha'il, the first round of the World Cup, and was the runner-up in the third round of the 2024 World Rally Raid Championship, which took place in Portugal.

Em 2025, depois de ter alcançado um incrível 8.º lugar no Dakar, assinou contrato com a Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa (estrutura com o apoio da SVRacing), dando mais um importante passo rumo a novas conquistas.
